Part I: Miami, USA to Georgetown, Grand Cayman

I have not died! I swear! I was just cruisin' the Caribbean. (oops. didn't mean to rub that in..) I flew over to Richmond on Wednesday the 16th so I could help the family out a bit to prepare for our trip. I was sad to miss my pups. I miss having a dog living with me. So I always wrestle and play with these guys as much as I can when I am at home.

Look at those eyes? do they not look so sad? "Momma, Dadda, Sister? Please don't leave us!"

Friday we flew out. We had a layover of about 2.5 hours in Dallas, and I was starvin' marvin. I could have eatin' a horse if presented with one. But I sat back, had a glass of water and made a better decision...partially because horse was not on the menu at this particular Irish Pub. (odd, no?) I went with a delicious garden salad with grilled chicken. Dressing on the side of course!

Good on ya, Texas. I truly thought I was going to have a heck of a time trying to get something somewhat healthy here. But I did well. Better then the salad with fried chicken on it (I feel this is somewhat odd, but thats just me.)

We arrived in Miami around 7ish I believe. It was night time but still a beautiful view. We stayed in a beautiful hotel that had a very sexy gym!

We stayed at the Epic Hotel (yes it is called that). My brother and I hit the gym at about 11pm. Definitely the latest I have every worked out! I like working out in the morning better because I am not all hyped up on endorphins.

Originally, my Father and I planned a morning run but we didn't really talk about it the night before. So it was too late by the time we talked about going. We had preordered room service the night before.

I went with a black coffee, ice water, fruit plate, and granola. I ate half of the granola since they gave about a cups worth. Deee-licious.

We went to Macy's to pick up a few things we forgot/ shop around a bit. I forgot ankle socks which were essential seeing as I planned on working out everyday (which I did thank you very much!). I also bought this pretty bag and some pretty Nine West Nude platform heels. So purdy! I am obsessed with heels lately.

We ended up boarding the ship sometime around 2:30 or so. I love Celebrity Cruises. This was my third one but my first in this area of the world.

We ate a late lunch on ship at the buffet. I made a lovely salad.

We set off into the sunset around 4 I believe. (Can't really remember!)

A lovely moon followed us off to sea as well.

Sunday morning was a sea day and I somehow worked up the energy to wake up at 5 am and be on the track by 5:15 for a long run. I didn't know if I would run the full 26 km I have in my marathon schedule, but I would run until the track was too busy. Really hate a busy track, people don't seem to know track etiquette. Kind of like the road, there is a fast lane and a slow lane. This flusters me. So I went out there and somehow focused enough to bang out 75 laps. AKA 15 km (Don't ask me how I kept count.. I somehow was able to repeat the numbers in my head every time I went around..I am an early bird, and I do my best thinking in the morning you see). Took me about an hour and 41 minutes or something like that. The deck was quite wet and I was being very cautious around every turn. (the track below in sunlight)

I tanned for the rest of the day until dinner. Dinner was the first formal night. I went with a simple LBD (little black dress), my pretty nude heels and red lipstick. ;)

After dinner I hit the gym. (yet another sexy gym I might add!)

The next morning we arrived in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.

Georgetown is similar to the Switzerland of the Caribbean. There are over 500 banks on the one island! We tendered into port, and stayed on land for maybe...20 minutes. Most of the stores are full of high end purses and jewelery. Things I was not looking for really. It was very beautiful and if I get a chance to go back I would definitely do one of the snorkeling excursions. LOVE Snorkeling. I went with one of my favourite summer dresses for this trip.

What a pretty ship!

To be continued...
