Naniamo Bars FTW!

Happy Weekend! I have been super nervous of getting sick lately. Most of the people I work with or go to class with have been sick, so I am doing by best to keep healthy! I bought an Emergency-C vitamin packet from the cafe at school. I mixed that in with my water this morning. I woke up with barely an appetite again so I decided to have this massive banana that IS bigger then my head. I also packed a mega-banan  for a snack in my purse.

I also finished  my last 3 month tracker, so I went on to my next one! Its so clean and non-crinkled.. unlike my last one. They always get so beat up because I bring them EVERYWHERE with me. I'm generally pretty good at tracking but when I don't track...oh baby do I do some damage!

I left my place at 7:20 this morning to get to work on time, which still makes me about 45 minutes too early! (darn bus schedule) Oh and its about a 1.5 km walk from the bus stop to the location (because I rather walk  then wait for another 20 minutes for a silly bus.) So I stopped by Starbucks Coffee and sat in the comfy couches with my Ipad, coffee, mega-banan, and tracker.

I could not believe how many people were at that meeting location this morning! It was a zoo in there!! But even then, I still love what I do. I love the look on their faces after achieving such success. Warms my heart.

After work, my co-worker and I went up to Cactus Club Cafe for a bite to eat. Neither of us had much in us other than 0-point fruit and coffee.

We both ordered plain chicken breast and Caesar salad (13 pointsplus), DEEE-licious.

Also, all yesterday I was pondering "what should I treat myself with this week?" and I have been CRAVING a Naniamo bar like CRAZY cats. So that is just what I had. We pranced over to the Renaissance Bakery on Fort (previously the Rhineland Bakery). It was so worth the WEIGHT wait. (hehe. See what I did there?)
Then it was back to the fort (aka my apartment) for some hard core homeworking. Oh yes. The joys of a university student. This week I have 2 presentations and a midterm take home exam due. Jealous yet?

To say the least, I have been pretty overwhelmed and stressed. The best way to cope with those feelings? Exercise and DOING WHAT YOU GOTTA DO. (unfortunately procrastination isn't the cure). I have also cut down on the coffee consumption because too much coffee makes me more anxious then I need to be.

So I brewed some Moroccan mint green tea and poured a glass of ice water to get into the groove.

Before I knew it, I had finished reading, analyzing and proofing my presentation! I am presenting on the bio-mechanics of barefoot running vs shod running (running barefoot vs with shoes). SUPER interesting article!

So, one project/presentation down! I have printed out everything else and will definitely be hitting up a local Starbucks for some mean "study seshh" time.

After that I had the grumblies for some kind of snacky poo. So I went with my FAVOURITE rye bread (3 pointsplus) with a tablespoon of fat free cream cheese (1 pointsplus) and  a few dried pineapple for an afternoon sweet treat. (4 pointsplus)

After everything was proofed and printed I decided to get out for a workout while I still had the energy. I put on my old runners because I wanted to do some circuit training and I am picky about how many miles get on my runners. (I am searching high and low for mizuno wave rider 13's in a size 9. My store doesn't carry them anymore!) I ran 9 minutes to get to the water front area I tend to do my circuits at. I worked a lot on lower body (which may have been a bad idea due to the 16 km I have planned for tomorrow.. aka 9.95 miles) and did a bit of upper body and mid body as well. I feel like I am going to be sore when I wake up!

Oh and I absolutely LOVE Saturday nights. Because I party Saturday nights? nope. Because I get to sleep in Sunday mornings? definitely not. Why you ask? welllll... A) its the night that I get to have carbs and its completely okay.. and B).. EARLY BED TIME!!!

Pasta here I come!! Om nom nom nom nom nom!
