Yes I am alive! I apologize for neglecting my blog but I am back! I have finally learned how to use my new Macbook Pro. (I was a PC before so it took some learning!). Now I can import my pictures off my camera!
So yesterday I was scheduled for a 36 km run. I originally planned on running about 38 to 40 km but it was cut short due to an "oh so graceful" tumble on the galloping goose trail. I was in one of my "zoned out" phases of my run at about kilometre 33. My foot caught the end of the path and I rolled over on my right ankle. From there I fell and managed to bang up my left knee and hip bone. Have some very lovely swelling and bruising from that one.
ouchiesss...
I knowww y'all love my pink compression socks.
So I decided I should take a walk around town to practise active recovery. It is generally a good idea to do light activity after a difficult day of exercise. I brought my nikon camera to make sure that I wouldn't be tempted to start running. So I cut up a mango for my snack before I was off.
I took a ton of beautiful shots. It was absolutely gorgeous out! Little windy, but nice nonetheless. I started by Ogden point and ended back in James Bay.
On the break water at Ogden point.
Over to the Harrison Yacht Pond. I rather call it a duck pond, but I guess I should call it what it is truly named.
I walked over to Mile 0 after that.
Hey, look! It's Terry Fox!
Then over to Beacon Hill Park.
Where I stumbled upon...a peacock in a tree?
Now I am going to get back to my studies. I have my last exam for school on Thursday morning and my Personal Training exam on Saturday. (little nervous for that one!)
I will try and update more often! I promise!
