In one of my recent vlogs, I mentioned a quote I found that I added into one of my WW meetings I lead. I have been in an inspirational quote kind of mood lately. This week at WW, the topic has been about using resources we have around us to help us become successful with goals we have set for ourselves, weight loss related or otherwise. I felt this quote went well with the topic and I have been using it as a sort of mantra lately.
Devote yourself to an idea. Go make it happen. Struggle on it. Overcome your fears. Smile. Don't forget THIS is your dream.
This quote related to me in both my marathoning and my weight loss journey. I remember days where I would wake up thinking how hard this weight loss things was, how I couldn't get myself out of a rut. Then overcoming and conquering what every was bugging me. Finding new ways and strategies to conquer challenges that got in my way.
Through this weeks meeting topic I started thinking about visualization. This is something I have been missing for the past few months. I have been wanting to get to my lowest weight, gain some muscle and beat some previous set personal best times. Why wasn't I achieving these goals I had wanted for myself? Lack of visualization. I realize how key it is. When I hit goal, I remember visualizing what goal looked like, sounded like, felt like and going with that. Taking those feelings of confidence, happiness and love for life into the word.
Do you use visualization as a key part of achieving your goals and dreams? What does that goal sound, feel and look like to you?
