Allo, Allo! I am back. So let us start with Saturday. I expected a larger loss then I got, but thats okay. I usually think it takes the body a little longer then a week before the clean eating has taken into effect. Either way I am down 0.4 :). To weigh in I brought my Weight Watchers Chocolate Smoothie Mix, with banana and almond milk mix. (Totally forgot to take a picture of this.) On the way home from weigh in I munched on my banana.
I was very cautious with my eating because I knew my dinner was going to be very "hefty" in points. So I packed my snacks for a group project I was going to. Finally found a hummus I really enjoy! It has olives in it! yum! Had that with veggies. Also had my dark chocolate Peanut butter with an apple, 2 babybel light cheeses and grapes.
However before eating all this and before leaving for this project I had myself a Luna Bar. White chocolate macadamia nut flavour.
The project didn't get totally finished with but no biggie. Kirsty picked me up from there and we headed up island for our girls evening. I do not have the pictures with me, but Kirsty did take some of the dinner (Link To Kirsty's Blog). It was delicious! 3 courses too! So basically, I voided my weekly points. Hoorah! :|
Appetizer was brick oven made crostini, duck pate, hummus, cheese, salmon, sausage, and picked veggies. Pretty delish!
Dinner I had a beef dish with mashed potatoes.
Dessert.. *droooooool* Okay Kirsty got our plate of dessert first (which was dark chocolate drizzled on a plate, with chocolate bread pudding with whipped cream, and some sort of custard)... We took our time licking and nibbling this amazing dessert. Our table was the first to get dessert like I said...we were the last to finish. You know what WW always says! Make sure you enjoy every bite! That we did... very well. That hit the nail on the head. I had been craving chocolate the past few weeks and I don't have that craving any longer. Glad I indulged.
We went back to the place we were staying at, put some logs on the fire, and relaxed playing words with friends. (cuz we be that coo!) Then off to sleep we went.
SUNDAY
Well, it was day light savings time. So we got an extra hour of sleep. So the thing about me... yeahhh I wake up SUPER early regardless. I was up at 6:30 (which was really 7:30.. aka a sleep in for me). So I fiddled about on my ipad for a few hours. We took our time getting up and having breakfast.
For breakfast (no pic evidence for the next little bit), we had oatmeal (the usual flavour I have) with french press coffee. We left the house around 10. Where we were is a bit a ways up island and gets pretty chilly. I don't think I have run in that kind of temperature in some time it feels like. I should have worn full tights but I wore capri tights, with my red 2011 Victoria marathon long sleeve, and gloves. That is my favourite long sleeve for cold weather. It had a light fleece lining in it.
We ran 8 km in 44:26 and my Garmin battery was low and died. Lovely. That made me frustrated as I couldn't check pace or distance or anything unless I asked Kirsty. Luckily hers was fine. We ran up and onto the Kinsol Tressel (which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL) and down the trans Canada trail. The trail is groomed but I still have trouble with trail running. I should get more into it but I like my road running :P.
We came back and both had a banana and some tea to warm us up. Showered up and she made us a whole wheat pasta dish that was 5 points (pics will probably be on her blog too). Yum.
We drove back into town to my place to pick up my flipchart and for me to dress into work appropriate clothing. I had 2 light baby bel cheeses, grapes and an apple. (before work).
At work, this was my biggest meeting yet! Had 5 people seated!! woot! its growing! After the meeting I had a 2 point bar (lemon mousse flavour...mmm) on the bus. Talked to my Dad and Mom on the phone while going home as I always do.
Once I got home I made up an egg scramble (with onion, broccoli, red sweet pepper, and an ounce of part skimmed cheese.. and 2 full eggs), turkey bacon, 100% whole wheat weight watchers bread, low fat margarine and salsa, and pineapple for dessert.
Tomorrow one class is cancelled so it should be an easier day. I am hoping to get some reading done and get some cleaning and laundry done. This place is a pigsty! (as my mom would say) Night all!
