I realized when I was laying in bed last night, after I posted my last post, that I forgot to include a picture I wanted to share. I really wanted to see a side by side before and after picture of me to let me see that there is a lot of change. As silly as it sound, sometimes I need that reminder to show myself where I came from.
It really made me see how much I have achieved. Also it kind of makes me a little emotional to see this, in a happy way. (Oh, and yes I used to dye my hair dark. I had this thing about my natural dirty blonde hair. I really didn't like it at the time.)
I still can't believe I have lost a total of 45 lbs, that I am running marathons and that I am currently a size 8 in jeans. Life has changed so much in a positive way and I really could not be more grateful. I have definitely learned that you can succeed at anything you like, as long as you put some work into it. (I don't think I truly learned this until I passed that finish line in October 2010 for my first marathon). My outlook on life has become much more positive. I crave healthy food now, where as before it was "the better choice" on the menu. I actually love the reflection I see peering back at me. I am much more confident and I have much better self-esteem then I ever have in my life.
For all my friends on YouTube and on the blog wold, thank you so much for following me on my journey. For my friends and family, thank you for all the positive support and love you have given me. I could not be more grateful. My journey will be on going most of my life, so do not think I am even remotely finished here. I have a few goals set a side and I am still working towards a lower body fat %. I want to be a lean, mean, running machine!
Just wanted to share this picture and a few words of thanks to all of you. Hope you are all have a beautiful day.

You are beautiful either way, Jen, but your happiness now shines through. Good for you for posting this as a reminder of where you came from. I keep a picture of my 50 lbs+ picture on my fridge all the time.
Lovely post Jen, it's great to remind ourselves of our accomplishments, it makes the whole journey much more pleasurable.
You've come a long way, always be proud of yourself, you deserve it! Can't wait to be able to run a marathon!! :D
