SO happy it is Friday, but for some reason I woke up with a feeling of "I really don't want to eat healthy today" and then I stepped on the scale. I don't like the number on the scale right now so that put me in a bit of a bummer mood. When I woke up, and I wasn't planning on going to the gym...but ended up getting stuff packed up for it anyway after seeing the number. So I went ahead and packed my lunch and clothing to change into after the gym
Breakfast consisted of 1 egg, and 1/4 cup egg white with veggies scrambled, 2 slices of turkey bacon, and strawberry Greek yogurt.. I just failed to take a picture before eating it.. OPPS!
As for lunch and snacks, I had 2 babybel light cheeses, an apple, Peanut Butter Sandwhich, and veggies.
I started the gym with 15 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the recumbent bike and 25 minutes on the treadmill with an incline of 7 and a speed of 4mph. While on the treadmill I was giving myself a little pep talk in my head.
"so I woke up with the feeling of not wanting to eat well...and I dont like what I see on the scale? Jenn, what will you do about this..."
So I could give in and eat what ever the heck I want, feel even worse about myself and pout some more. Or I could do something about it. I made the first step and got my butt to the gym, now to do what I need to do. I made it a priority that I drank minimum 2 litres of water today and I ate ONLY when I was hungry. (while staying in my points range). I am proud of myself that I dug myself out of a self sabotaging hole like that. I even walked into a grocery store today, craving sweets like no other, and walked out with what I went in there to get and apples to kill the sweet tooth. Now THAT I am proud of.
After class, I came home and signed up for something I have contemplated for a while. I signed up to run for Team Diabetes in 2012 in Reykjavik, Iceland. I have to fundraise a minimum of $6100 in order to go. I can do it. I will put up more information when I set up my profile and what not some more.
I then walked over to Teaopia for a cup of tea with my good friend Mercier. I went for the Applestuddle oolong tea. MMM so good for my sniffles and sore throat. We then drove over to Beacon Hill park for a walk in the park. I brought my camera with me :).
It was a beautiful day out! After that I picked up what I needed at the grocery store and began to make dinner. I snacked on an apple and 2 babybel cheeses while waiting for dinner.
Matt came by shortly after to have dinner. It was delicious! I cooked ground beef, onions with my favourite tomato sauce. I ate mine on top of spaghetti squash, and Matt had his over top of whole wheat pasta. Yum!
Tomorrow I will be having a very relaxing Saturday. HELLLOOO sleep in!
