I was SO tired by the time I got home, I didn't want to upload everything last night to blog. So here I am :) in the morning before I go for my run.
Since it was Saturday, I wanted to sleep in and have a different kind of breaky. We woke up around 8 and yes that is a sleep in for moi! I'm an early birdy okay! I made Tone It Up! protein pancakes from the Tone It Up! girls! SOO good. I added a dollop of Peanut Butter with a little maple syrup as well.
Matt left to do some errands, and I decided to tear apart my apartment. I reorganized some cupboards and scrubbed the place down from top to bottom. It needed a good clean. I did that for about 3 hours before I realized I was hungry for my snack. I had an apple with a light babybel cheese.
After another few hours of cleaning I decided to have leftovers for dinner. Such a good sauce I made and I love spaghetti squash.
After watching the Grey's Anatomy I missed and some youtube videos, I decided to put my Vibrams on. I have been contemplating adding barefoot running into my routine for a while, but didn't think it was smart to do so RIGHT before the marathon. Now I have the time and what not. I want to strengthen the muscles in my legs and feet while also improve my biomechanics of running.
I was able to run 2.5 km and packed it in. It is crazy how hard your body has to work to run barefoot in comparison to a regular shoe. My calves with working SO hard, they were tired and sore after! Got to start somewhere!
After running I was super hungry and decided to try out the Luna Bars I bought. Chocolate Macadamia nut flavour. SO good! One of the best bars I think I have tried out in a while!
Matt and I decided after I showered up to hit up Uptown to pick up a few items and get some frozen yogurt. I went in there with a plan. Try to get only a little yogurt, then load up on fruit. I did a pretty good job.
Whilst on our travels, Matt and I spotted a shirt he decided I must wear to a coffee date I had that evening. You see, both him and I have a love of angry birds..
I like to eat dinner somewhat early so I made us chicken, rice and veggies. I marinated the chicken in honey mustard with dill. So good! (I ususally use that marinate then crust the chicken with corn flakes, but didn't have any and wanted to save points)
Then, I went to my coffee date with a friend to talk, and I had a venti hot passion tea with one splenda. And that was my night!
